360Energy launches 2 new PV solar plants that will generate more than 80GWh annually

At the end of January, 360Energy completed the commercial activation of the La Rioja III and Cañada Honda IV Solar Plants.

The La Rioja III Solar Plant is located in Nonogasta, La Rioja, on a 49-hectare site, close to the Nonogasta Solar Plant which was also built and is currently operated by 360Energy. It is part of 360Energy's largest project to date, which integrates the La Rioja I, II, III, and IV Photovoltaic Solar Plants into a single Solar Complex.

Specifically, the La Rioja III PSF has a DC power capacity of 22MW and is estimated to generate 70.9 GWh annually. Its construction was partially financed through the first Corporate Bond issued by the company during 2022.

On the other hand, the Cañada Honda IV PSF, covering more than 12 hectares, is located in the Sarmiento Department of San Juan province. As part of the pioneering spirit in the renewable energy industry, this new 360Energy solar plant features state-of-the-art equipment and components: more than 9,000 Astronergy solar modules, Huawei SUN2000 inverters, and Arctech Skyline II trackers.

With an estimated annual generation of 14.7 GWh, PSF Cañada Honda IV is being incorporated as an expansion of the Cañada Honda Photovoltaic Solar Park by 360Energy. Notably, this was the country's first large-scale photovoltaic solar park, built in 2012 by 360Energy.

Regarding this, Francisco Recaré, Director of Works and Engineering at 360Energy, highlights that “both solar parks were developed and built by 360Energy, once again demonstrating our ability to take on these challenges. This allows us to offer sustainable energy solutions to our clients and continue contributing to the decarbonization of the local energy matrix.

The energy from these parks will be used to supply the PPAs signed with Acerbrag and Holcim in the Term Market (MATER).
